Prayer Devotion
Philippians 4:6-7 - Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
God says many times in the bible to not be anxious (Matthew 6:25-33, 1 Peter 5:6-7, Psalm 46:10, 55:22) When you are anxious the Bible encourages us to pray and trust in him (Proverbs 3:5-6, Joshua 1:5-9, Psalm 37:5).
In Philippians 4, Paul tells us to not worry about anything, but instead to pray about everything. God is always listening. Nothing is too big for him to handle, and nothing is too trivial to bring to his attention. God already knows what is on our hearts, but if we lay it at his feet, we gain peace beyond imagining.
Request what it is you desire from God but do it with thankfulness and in a manner that aligns with what God says. Prayer will help us find peace and will teach you to guard your heart and mind. Prayer is extremely important in our lives, because communicating with God is a must. It is one of the most crucial things we must do as Christians, and it is our way of talking to God and asking for help.
