Who We Are

.

Since 1869, Greentree Christian Church has existed to glorify God by guiding people to Jesus,
being formed together in faithful obedience to Him every day.

We envision a church overflowing with disciple-making disciples,
building God’s Kingdom in Rolla, the Ozarks, and around the world.

Each committed individual is expected to guide others towards Jesus by living out the 4 G’s of Greentree:

Scripture shapes who we are and how we live

  • We believe Scripture is the reliable, trustworthy, and authoritative Word of God. It forms the foundation for our teaching, decision-making and spiritual growth. As we read, study, and meditate on Scripture together, we are continually shaped into people who live according to God’s truth.
(2 Tim 3:16-17, Psalm 1, Psalm 119:9-11, John 15:9, Phil 3:7-11)
We pursing Christ together in communities of formation

  • God designed us to grow in community. Through authentic relationships, small groups, bible studies, and Christ-centered lives we encourage one another toward maturity in Jesus. As we walk through life together with the Holy Spirit, we help one another become more like Christ every day.
(Acts 2:42-47,  Deut 6:4-8, Phil 2:1-5, Gal 5:22-23, Col 3:18-21)
We serve others with generosity and love

  • God has given us time, talents, and resources to use for His glory and the good of others. We seek to serve with generosity, humility, excellence, and love both inside and outside of the church. When we give ourselves away in service, we reflect the love of Christ.
(1 Peter 4:8-11, Matt 20:25-28, Col 3:23-24, Rom 12:1-2)
We live as people sent to make disciples

  • Jesus calls his disciples to share the good news and make more disciples. We actively seek to reach our neighbors, our region, and people around the world with the message of Christ. Whether across the street or across the globe, we live as people sent to build God’s Kingdom.
(Matt 28:18-20, Luke 19:10, Acts 1:8, 2 Peter 3:9, 1 Cor 9:19-22)
